GDIA One-on-One Implant Mentorship Program is a four days course of customized implant education course designed to provide the best understanding and needs in clinical implant dentistry. One mentor and one participant will meet to share life-learned lessons, experiences, and perform surgeries under direct supervision of mentor. The program is designed both for doctors with emerging interest in clinical implant dentistry and doctors seeking breakthrough from difficulties in implant surgery.
- The program is individually customized by the participant’s need. Mentors will provide implant dentistry education in the most simplified format. Eliminating multiple attendees and large classroom, the participant will maximize their didactic knowledge by putting into clinical practice almost immediately. Limited enrollment allows the participants to interact and ask questions in a very informal and personal environment. Each participant not only learn the placement and restoration of root form dental implants in a step-by-step sequence, but also operational and management aspect of clinical implant dentistry at private offices.
- For live-surgery, each surgery case will be prescreened for liability and patient protection purposes.

Cameron Torabi, DDS, FICOI
Since his graduation from USC School of Dentistry in 1995, Dr. Cameron Torabi has built several successful general dentistry practices throughout Southern and Central California. He has trained dozens of GP dentists in restorative dentistry, oral implantology and orthodontics, with a focus on producing more cross-competency and more comprehensive treatment planning skills. Dr. Torabi's central philosophy is that the success of a general practitioner relies as much on balance and breadth of expertise as it does on depth of knowledge in any one practice area. Dr. Torabi's curriculum applies this mindset, focusing on seamlessly integrating implant dentistry into an existing practice, while reducing complications and improving patient satisfaction using interdisciplinary tools and skills. Dr. Torabi's portion of the curriculum is geared for immediate application by general practitioners, with greater emphasis on practice than the theoretical underpinnings. Dr. Torabi has been called upon to provide testimony in numerous litigated cases, and he is recognized as an expert in multiple areas of practice. His curriculum reflects planning and protocols designed to avoid unnecessary risks of liability. Most importantly, Dr. Torabi is the proud father of two incredible boys, and he has (barely) survived both sleep training and one round of the 'terrible twos.’
Cary D. Brown, DDS
Dr. Brown is a current member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Tri-County Dental Society, International Academy of Comprehensive Aesthetics, International Association for Orthodontics, Honorary Dental Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Brown is a native of Southern California. He has three great kids. They enjoy sports and outdoor activities. He is an avid motorsports fan and be found most weekends riding and competing in off-road motorcycle events. After a mid-career lull, Dr Brown re-sparked his interest in dentistry by implementing new technology and new procedures. This enthusiasm was fostered by the addition of Dental Implantology. Complementing the addition of dental implants he acquired a complete in office 3D CAD/CAM system. This includes a chair side 3D scanning system with the ability to design and fabricate inlays/onlays, crowns, bridges, custom implant abutments and implant surgical guides. These tools have allowed him to see patients interested in dental implants and complete a guided surgery on the same day. What follows is a typical treatment path we complete on a routine basis. This all happens within our office: CBCT scan, Digital implant treatment planning, Digital surgical guide planning, CAD/CAM surgical guide fabrication, Guided implant placement, Chairside digital scanning, Custom abutment design and fabrication, and Crown or Bridge fabrication. This powerful technology has helped to become established as one of the high tech offices in our area. Dr Brown is passionate about implant dentistry and shares his methods and techniques with colleges and study clubs.
