COURSE OVERVIEW
There is no better place to start “Building Confidence in Implant Dentistry” than with live-patient surgical training under direct supervision of our instructors. This program focuses on the core practices and techniques needed to start your career as an implant surgeon. Learn from qualified instructors with proven systems to better serve your community as a dental implant surgeon.
Our live-patient surgical training program is designed to emphasize training under a clinical environment. You will be expected to learn crucial elements such as the evaluation of clinical cases, treatment planning, surgical techniques, and pain management. Each patient case is custom tailored with individualized instructor care where instructors will fulfill your needs under expert supervision. You will perform live surgeries on patients in a group of two and one instructor will be supervising the entire surgery.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- 3D CBCT image interpretation
- Diagnostics and treatment planning
- Fundamentals of implant surgery and drilling protocols
- Assessment of medical history and risk management
- Pre and post-operative protocols
- Pain management protocols
- Basic tissue management and socket preservation
- Basic surgical principles : suturing, incisions, flap design
- Surgical implant placements on live-patients
- Atraumatic extraction technique
